How to start track riding & the PATHWAYS

Pathway for Juniors

Start Riding with a club:

Midland Cycle Club host sessions for beginners/novice juniors on a Wednesday from 5-6pm with Intermediate Juniors from 6pm. Midland Cycle Club have a Basic Track Skills Certification Program, which will enable your child to ride the track safely and with confidence.

Do an intensive course:

National Cycling Centre WA hosts school holiday programs for kids aged 8-14 who have never ridden track before and also novice kids who would like to gain more experience riding on the track. Sessions are generally held over two days for 2 hours each. Costs are $50 plus $10 bike hire if required. Please contact Amanda ( for more information. 

Senior riders pathway

Start Riding with a club:

Track Cycling WA  host sessions for beginners/novice juniors on a Tuesday from 6pm for Seniors and Masters


Racing Pathway

Start racing by inspecting the calendar here and contacting Track Cycling WA to enter your first event.

State Track Teams

Aim for the National Championships- Train and grab your PB or even a medal.
